Russian Speakers Make Cold Calls to Thwart Putin’s Ukraine Propaganda

Call Russia, a non profit organization, has recruited Russian speakers from around the world to speak to Russian citizens about the attack on Ukraine. Through texting and phone calls, the organization hopes to sidestep Putin’s shutdown of news and social media, by speaking directly to the people. The organization Call Russia believes “40 million personal calls may be our only way around Putin’s propaganda and information blackouts.”
