Those Hoping to Get ‘Leftover’ Vaccine Doses Wait Nearly 15 Hours for a Chance

As vaccine doses make their way across the country, the final hurdle of getting the shot into people’s arms is proving more complicated than anticipated. When vaccination sites have fewer qualified patients than doses of the vaccine, some offer them on a first-come, first-served basis. In Los Angeles “vaccine chasers” are camping out in parking lots, without an appointment, hoping to score a shot. Inside Edition sent a producer to see how it worked, and found some people waiting nearly 15 hours.
