Before Meghan Markle met the Queen, she went to the Rose Tree Cottage in Pasadena, Calif. to learn proper tea etiquette. Edmund Fry owns the tea house and was tasked to teach Markle proper protocol. He says her visit came last August or September and it was her friends who made the reservations. “I had no idea she was coming,” he said of Markle’s visit. Fry says there are about 25 rules to having tea. There are even rules about what color napkin to use.
