Nothing in 2018 matched the majesty and spectacle of the springtime royal wedding of American actress Meghan Markle to Prince Harry. A global audience estimated at 1.5 billion people tuned in to watch the couple say "I do" in May.
2018 was also the year that beloved morning host Kathie Lee Gifford caught everyone by surprise when she announced that she was leaving the “Today” show. Gifford has hosted the fourth hour of the show with Hoda Kotb for 11 years.
