A UNESCO World Heritage Site is under threat from a forest fire. Rapa Nui National Park on Easter Island, which is more than two thousand miles off the coast of Chile, is home to the famous Moai statues.

A Florida sheriff’s deputy shot a dog and fellow officer while executing a search warrant on a home. When entering the home, a dog charged at one of the deputies, according to the sheriff’s office statement.
