Serena Williams May Have Let It Slip That the Royal Couple Is Having a Girl

Serena Williams may or may not have just revealed the sex of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s baby.
Serena Williams may or may not have just revealed the sex of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s baby.
In an interview, the tennis star, who is mom to 1-year-old Alexis Olympia Ohanian, was asked about her best advice for new moms.
“Accept the mistakes and don’t expect to be perfect. We put so much pressure on ourselves,” she told E!
“My friend is pregnant and she’s like, ‘Oh, my kid is gonna do this …’ and I just looked at her and I was like, ‘No, she’s not.'”
Even though Williams never specified who she was talking about, many are speculating she is referring to close friend Meghan Markle. She and husband Prince Harry are expecting their first child soon but have kept mum on the sex of the baby.
If Williams’ slip up is about Markle — and the duchess is having a girl — this would contradict earlier speculation that the royal couple is having a boy.
Those reports circulated after Markle’s New York baby shower in February, where guests were seen carrying gifts with blue wrapping.
As the countdown to the royal baby continues, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are thanking those who have sent gifts.
“In lieu of sending gifts, the couple have long planned to encourage members of the public to make donations to select charities for children and parents in need. If you already made a donation, the couple send you their greatest thanks," their Instagram read.
