YouTube's Tanya Burr Splits From Jim Chapman After 12 Years
The YouTube stars met 12 years ago and married in 2015.
British YouTuber Tanya Burr is splitting from her husband, fellow YouTube star Jim Chapman, after 12 years together, they announced Tuesday.
Burr, one of YouTube's early successes, shared the news with her fans in Instagram Stories.
"Just wanted to let you all know that a few weeks ago Jim and I made the painful decision to no longer be together," the 29-year-old wrote. "We have a huge amount of love and respect for each other and will continue to remain friends forever. Thank you in advance for respecting our privacy at this difficult time."
Chapman, 31, echoed Burr in his own post.
"After twelve incredible years, Tan and I have decided to go our separate ways. We're still absolutely the best of friends and have nothing but love and respect for each other. We will continue to support one another in all of our ventures and are both looking forward to what the future holds," he wrote.
The couple met 12 years ago while they were at school in the U.K. and both went on to enjoy successful YouTube careers. Burr has more than 3.5 million YouTube subscribers, while Chapman has more than 2.3 million.
Burr's makeup tutorials swiftly gained fans online and led to the launch of her own beauty line, Tanya Burr Cosmetics, in 2014, as well as three lifestyle books. More recently, she has delved into acting. Chapman is also a published author as well as model and contributing editor for British GQ.
They got engaged in New York in 2012 and married in Somerset, England, in 2015. They lived together in London.
The couple had not posted photos of each other on social media since the end of 2018. They traveled to California together earlier this year, according to videos on their YouTube channels. During the trip, Chapman visited Las Vegas, while Burr stayed in Los Angeles.
