Colorado Mom Shanann Watts Allegedly Killed by Husband Chris Watts Gushed About Him Online

Chris Watts reportedly confessed to killing his wife and two children.

A Colorado woman who was allegedly killed by her husband had recently gushed about their relationship online.

Chris Watts, 33, allegedly admitted to killing his wife, 34-year-old Shanann, and daughters, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3, Fox31 Denver reported. Watts’ wife was 15 weeks pregnant at the time.

On Facebook, Shanann posted at length about her bond with her husband.

"I love Chris! He’s the best dad us girls could ask for," she posted June 19, together with a screenshot of a text message showing a picture of an ultrasound.

Shanann and her daughters had been missing since Monday from their Frederick home. On Tuesday, Watts gave an emotional interview, pleading for his family's safe return.

“I hope she is somewhere safe right now with the kids,” Watts told KMGH-TV. “If someone has them and they are not safe, I want them back right now….”

Asked if he had argued with his wife before her disappearance, he cryptically replied, "We had an emotional conversation," and declined to elaborate further.

By Wednesday, Watts had reportedly confessed to the murders of Shanann, Bella and Celeste, telling law enforcement officials, "I killed them all."

Police said Thursday that they had found Shanann's body at her husband's workplace and have "strong reason" to believe they know where the girls' bodies are.

Watts is being held in Weld County Jail, where he was booked on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of tampering with physical evidence. He has not yet entered a plea.

He appeared in court Thursday, where a judge ordered him held without bail and told prosecutors to formally file charges by Monday afternoon. He set a Tuesday hearing to review the case.
