Obama's Official Florist Escorted Out of White House in 'Hush Hush' Circumstances, Report Says

"It does seem like a strange departure."

The official florist of the White House has left her job under "hush, hush" circumstances.

According to the Washington Post, she was even "escorted from the building."

Laura Dowling was chief White House florist for almost six years.

In one video, she explained how she got the job. She said, "The First Lady interviewed all of us and I ended up getting the job. It was about a seven month process."

One of her duties was to arrange flowers at official state dinners.

Washington Post columnist Helena Andrews just revealed that Dowling left the job without any official announcement being made and it was the day before Valentine's Day.

She told INSIDE EDITION, "It does seem like a strange departure. She left in February. That was, like, six weeks ago and we're just now hearing about it and the White House didn't release a statement until we started asking about it."

INSIDE EDITION's Steven Fabian asked Andrews, "It was also right before Valentine's Day which I imagine is a big day for a florist?"

Andrews responded, "Yeah. It just adds to the whole mystery and intrigue about this entire process. If she was escorted out, if that is indeed true, it sort of implies that maybe she didn't leave of her own volition, but in her official statement she said that she resigned."

The First Lady said in a statement, "We are grateful for her contribution over the years and wish her well."
