Tom Hanks' Son Chet Opens Up on Addiction: I Did Cocaine 'Until I Couldn't Snort It Anymore'

The 25-year-old posted videos online opening up about his addiction and growing up with famous parents.

The son of beloved actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson has made a shocking public confession that he sold cocaine and smoked crack.

Chet Hanks, 25, posted a series of Instagram videos opening up about his drug addiction and growing up in the shadow of his famous parents.

He said in one video: "A couple months ago, I was selling coke. Doing coke, I couldn’t even snort it up my nose anymore because it was so clogged. I even smoked crack. If I can change, you can change. There is a solution."

In another video, he said: “It's been a long journey for me discovering who I am because of all the pressures that I’ve dealt with in my life, being the son of my dad and everything and just trying to find where I fit in."

Chet Hanks is a rapper who goes by the stage name Chet Haze. Many of his fans thought he went missing, but he has confessed he was in a rehab facility getting clean. 

He credits his parents and his older brother, actor Colin Hanks with helping his recovery. 

Chet even reached out to his fans and told them if they are struggling to contact him. 

"I just want to say if you are out there struggling with addiction, take your a** to a meeting, AA, whatever. If you need someone to talk to, DM me. I will try and get back to as many people as I can."
