Bobbi Kristina's Hospice Caregiver is Arrested for Allegedly Impersonating a Nurse

Taiwo Sobamowo was Bobbi Kristina Brown's nurse of a month while she lay dying in a Georgia hospice -- but police say she had no license.

A woman who was placed in charge of caring for Bobbi Kristina Brown while the late singer's scion lay in a Georgia hospice center has been arrested on charges she impersonated a nurse.

According to police in the town of Duluth and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Taiwo Sobamowo cared for Whitney Houston's daughter for a month at Peachtree Christian Hospice.

Sobamowo was impersonating a nurse, according to police. She faces charges of identity fraud and nursing without a license.

Fox 5 Atlanta first broke the story Tuesday about Sobamowo, who was picked up over the weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina.

She was held Tuesday in Raleigh jail on a charge of being a fugitive from another state.

The investigation into the 32-year-old began in September after authorities in Forsyth County, Georgia received a tip raising questions about Sobamowo.

According to Detective Cpl. Jeffrey Roe, Sobamowo had stolen the state-issued RN number of a real nurse at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

"Our investigation has revealed no license or registration on record through the Georgia Board of Nursing for Sobamowo," Duluth said in a report obtained by the Associated Press.

"Documentation obtained through Sobamowo's employment records indicated she attended a medical college in Washington, D.C.," the Duluth police statement said. "To date we have been unable to confirm her attendance at this school."

No statements have been made from any party about how Sobamowo's alleged fraud could have affected Brown's care, if at all.

Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub on Jan. 31 at her home in Roswell, Georgia.

The 22-year-old died on July 26 after spending months in a coma.
