Carissa Wolter said she left her diamond earrings and ring in a tissue while putting on makeup in the bathroom. After she was done, she discarded the tissues in the toilet and realized after the incident that her engagement ring was in there.

The bride-to-be told her fiancé, Kevin Winter, and they called the Jurupa Community Services District, which sent a team to her sewer to try and fish out the ring.

She told ABC News: "I started thinking right away that my jewelry was gone for good. My ring is everything to me, how could I even do that? I was so mad at myself and disappointed."

The team put in a trap and was able to find her ring which had travelled down the street from her home.
