'Real Housewives' Star Teresa Giudice is Freed From Prison in Time For Christmas

Real Housewife Teresa Giudice returns home from prison after serving 11 months behind bars.

Teresa Giudice will be home for the holidays.

The Real Housewives star had her first taste of freedom in nearly 11 months as she was driven from prison by her lawyer on Wednesday morning.

Her husband Joe and their four daughters were waiting to greet her back home in Towaco, New Jersey. Outside the house, there was a new Lexus wrapped in a ribbon.

The reality show star and her husband pleaded guilty to 41 counts of fraud in March last year. The judge agreed to stagger their prison sentences so one parent could look after their children. 

Her lawyer, James Leonard, told reporters: "In the car ride here she was extremely upbeat. She was calling home. She asked me to put on Christmas music." 

Teresa’s sentence has not yet been completed. She will remain under house arrest until February 5. Joe will start serving his three-and-a-half year prison sentence in March.

The 43-year-old reality star served her time in the federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut.
