Las Vegas Taco Restaurant Turns Robbery Footage into Hilarious Ad

An innovative Las Vegas restaurant has made the best of a bad situation and turned surveillance footage of the eatery being burglarized into a hilarious video.

Security footage captured three men breaking into the closed Frijoles & Frescas Grilled Tacos restaurant and ransacking the place during their search for cash on December 16.

“Guy wants a taco,” appears on the screen as a man exits a car near the eatery at 3:32 a.m.

“Restaurant is closed. Sorry, bro. Poor guy just wants a taco,” the comical commentary continues, including a sad face emoji as the car pulls away.

But the suspects returned, smashing a door in their pursuits to get inside.

“He reeeaaally wants a taco,” the text says.

“So does his homeboy,” the screen says as another man enters the restaurant.

The commentary narrating the men’s inner monologues as they trash the shop continue, noting “Maybe they keep tacos in the register” as one suspect smashes it.

Two empty cash boxes were stolen from the shop.

“We take full responsibility for what our tacos cause people to do,” the video says. “They ARE pretty amazing.

Though humorous, the video was ultimately released to help apprehend the men wanted in suspicion of the burglary.

General Manager Greg Carlson, who published the video to YouTube, told CNN: “I thought to myself: ‘We’re going to have some expenses from this. I might as well turn this into something that will inspire people to come try our food.”

“Please help us find these guys,” the video concludes, before adding: “So we can get them the tacos they rightfully deserve.’

But before the fun is through, the restaurant’s proprietors couldn’t resist including one more jab at one of the less skilled burglars.

“And someone please teach this guy how to throw a rock,” it says, replaying a shot of the first failed attempt to get into the shop.

Anyone with information about the break-in is urged to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
