Teen Movie Critic Apologizes After Amy Schumer Slams Him For Sexist Joke
Comedian Amy Schumer called out a teenage movie critic after he posted a photo of her along with a sexist comment.
Jackson Murphy, a 17-year-old film critic with a large social media following, snapped a picture with the Trainwreck star during the Critics’ Choice Awards before posting it online.
“Spent the night with Amy Schumer,” he wrote alongside the image. “Certainly not the first guy to write that.”
Thirty minutes later, Schumer shot back.
“I get it,” she wrote. “Cause I’m a whore? Glad I took a photo with you. Hi to your dad.”
Murphy immediately pulled the tweeted.
“I truly apologize for the tweet I posted earlier,” he wrote on Twitter. “I’m not a comedian and it wasn’t funny.”
Schumer responded: “That’s really okay honey. I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that.”
