The Unexpected Household Items That Can Help You Stay Cozy

Experts reveal how ceiling fans and plastic bags can keep out the cold this winter.

A blizzard is expected to sweep up the East Coast  and INSIDE EDITION has got tips for how you can stay cozy while hunkering down.

Lifestyle expert Trae Bodge says bubble wrap is a great insulation.

“Spray the window, put bubble wrap down, bubble side down,” she said.

She also said to turn on your fan.

“In summer our fan is turning is counter wise to circulate the air but in winter you can flip switch to clockwise to push the warm air down.”

If you do decide to venture out, good boots are essential.

“Put your feet in gallon sized baggies. It'll keep them not only dry but it'll keep them warm,” she recommends.

Messy boots are the worst.  She recommends taking tray and filling it with pebbles. Put the boots on the tray and water will drain away, leaving the boots dry enough to put back on.
