In her controversial new song, “Formation,” Beyonce sings the line “When he **** me good, I take his ass to Red Lobster.”
Now the seafood restaurant chain is seeing a spike in sales since the song was released on Saturday, according to reports.
In a statement to CBS News, Red Lobster CEO Kim Lopdrup said: “It's clear that Beyonce has helped create some Red Lobster fans, and we are very grateful to her for that.”
The chain also responded to the hike in a series of tweets.
Our bad. We're really busy for some reason. #ThanksB #👑🐝— Red Lobster (@redlobster) February 7, 2016
"Formation" is Beyonce’s first song since 2014. The politically charged song addresses police brutality, Hurricane Katrina and black culture.
Red Lobster, which is headquartered in Florida, has more than 700 locations across North America.
