Maples and Trump have a daughter together, 22-year-old Tiffany, who has joined her father on the campaign trail. When asked how she felt about the campaign, Maples had no negative words.

"Let me just tell you," she said. "He's the father of my beautiful daughter and I support her in everything."

And when asked how she felt about being the first ex-wife of the White House, she joked: "I think I'd rather be in there!"

After splitting from first wife Ivanka, Trump married Maples in 1993. They broke up six years later and Maples retreated to Los Angeles to raise their daughter.

Author Gwenda Blair, who wrote the book "The Trumps," previously told INSIDE EDITION: "Tiffany lived on the West Coast, Donald lived in New York City, so there was no way he could share in her life the way he shared in his older children's lives. Trump married his third wife, Melania, in 2005.
