'I would come out of retirement just to beat him like a rented mule,' the disgraced former congressman said.

Disgraced former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner and Donald Trump Jr. are trading barbs after reports emberged that the son of the real estate mogul may run for mayor of New York City.

“The only thing that could make me come out of retirement and run for mayor again is if anyone named Trump ran. I would come out of retirement just to beat him like a rented mule and then I'd turn the keys back over to de Blasio,” Weiner told FOX 5 in New York.

Weiner spoke to reporters at the DNC Tuesday in Philadelphia when he was asked about the possibility of a Trump at Gracie Mansion next year.

Trump Jr. hit back, tweeting:

Too soon Anthony!!! You probably shouldn't be talking about beating anything ever again. Go back to your cave. https://t.co/Mingecu6o9

In a statement from Donald Trump to Fox News, the GOP presidential nominee added: “Donald Trump Jr. has no intention of running for mayor of New York, but I was the one who predicted that Anthony Weiner would flame out and not be able to run for mayor. People were amazed at how insightful I was."

Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, is a top Clinton advisor. Following his 2011 scandal where he was outed for sending lewd photos to women, the former New York Congressman resigned his seat.

In 2013, he made an unsuccessful attempt to become mayor of New York City when it was revealed he continued his lecherous behavior with other women. Weiner is currently a pundit for local news station NY1 and a political consultant.
