NBA Star Dwyane Wade's Cousin Shot Dead By Stray Bullet, Trump Assailed For His Response

Nykea Aldridge was pushing her baby stroller in Chicago when she was shot dead, police say.

The cousin of an NBA star who recently spoke out against gun violence was fatally shot in Chicago on Friday.

Police say Nykea Aldridge, a cousin to Chicago Bulls shooting guard Dwyane Wade, was pushing her baby stroller in the city's South Side when she was caught between two shooters and their target.

The 32-year-old mother of four was not the intended target.

My cousin was killed today in Chicago. Another act of senseless gun violence. 4 kids lost their mom for NO REASON. Unreal. #EnoughIsEnough

Wade was joined by NBA stars Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, and Chris Paul onstage at the the 2016 ESPY Awards to deliver an impassioned plea to end police brutality and gun violence.

"The racial profiling has to stop. The shoot to kill mentality has to stop. Not seeing the value of black and brown bodies has to stop. But also, the retaliation has to stop. The endless gun violence in places like Chicago, Dallas, not mention Orlando, it has to stop. Enough. Enough is enough," Wade said at the time.

On Friday, Wade spoke out again. This time, it was in response to his own family member's death by gun violence.

Dwyane Wade's cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago. Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!
