Playing Newsweek Forced to Recall 'Madam President' Issue After Anticipating Clinton Victory

Newsweek distributor Topix Media also crafted a Donald Trump cover, but sent the Clinton "Madam President" issue out, believing — along with most polls — that she would win.

Tony Romando, chief executive of Topix Media, told the New York Post: “Like everybody else, we got it wrong.”

The issue hit stands Tuesday and was quickly recalled. Romando told the Post that only 17 issues were purchased.

“All wholesalers and retailers have been asked to return any issues they have as we need to clear room for [150,000 copies of] the President Trump issue,” Romando told The Post. “We expect it to sell very well as there is obviously a great demand.”
