Kellyanne Conway Slams Criticism of Oval Office Couch Photo as 'Venomous'

Speaking to Lou Dobbs Tuesday, Conway said she didn't mean to have her feet on the couch while taking a photo.

Kellyanne Conway is setting the record straight about the controversial photo of her sitting with her feet on an Oval Office sofa with her shoes on.

"I was being asked to take a picture in a crowded room with the press behind us, and I was asked to take a certain angle and was doing exactly that," she said on Lou Dobbs Tonight Tuesday. "I certainly meant no disrespect. I didn't mean to have my feet on the couch."

In the background, presidents of historically black colleges and universities are seen posing with Trump.

The moment the photo was released Monday, it quickly went viral with many slamming her actions on social media. It also spawned numerous memes featuring Conway in various scenes while in that sitting position.

Speaking to Dobbs, Conway called the attacks "venomous." She added: "It is vicious. It bothers my children to be frank with you."

She then called the criticism a conspiracy of the left, adding: “I am not a victim at all but people should take very seriously the import of their words."
