Blindfolded Kids Catch Mystery Guest During Basketball Halftime Show... Their Military Dad

It took some encouragement from the crowd and a bit of nudging from the Utah Jazz's mascot before they reached the mystery man.

These two young basketball fans were reunited with their military dad during an emotional halftime surprise.

Announcers at the Utah Jazz game Wednesday night told Major Samuel Sanderson's son and daughter to put on blacked-out ski goggles and walk around the court until they found a surprise guest.

It took some encouragement from the crowd and a bit of nudging from the Jazz's mascot, Jazz Bear, before they reached the mystery man.

"I think you've found him!" the announcer said.

They ripped off their goggles to come face to face with their dad. Immediately, they threw their arms around him.

"Ladies and gentleman, this is Sam Sanderson, Army National Guard," the announcer said. "He's been away on multiple deployments. He's been gone six months."

The siblings sobbed in their dad's arms, clearly overjoyed to have him home.
