Playing Boy, 6, Raps to Song from 'Hamilton' for School's Talent Show

The story of Alexander Hamilton may be more than 200 years old, but this 6-year-old boy’s take on the musical’s rap makes the tale seem as young as ever.

Leo Lvoff, 6, of New York City, rapped to a song from Lin Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton during his school’s recent talent show.

His mom Mindy Lvoff told InsideEdition.com that the kindergartener had been practicing the words day and night, all in preparation for the big day.

“We listen to Hamilton all the time,” his mom, Mindy Lvoff, told InsideEdition.com. “We ride the Q [train] home and he would sing it so loudly on the subway.”

Lvoff explained her son’s love for the musical really started with his love for history. She said they have even gone to Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia during a family trip, where Leo insisted on keeping his costume on for the entire visit.

“He has always been passionate about things,” his mom said. “But history just made his imagination come alive. Somehow, the American Revolution stuck with him.”

As Leo would bring up facts on Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr during normal conversation, his mom mentioned there was a musical about that moment in history.

Once the 6-year-old heard it, he was hooked.

"He can't get enough," Lvoff said. "He memorized it basically all the way through."

His mom even plans to take him to see the musical live next year.
