Meghan Markle's Mom Doria Ragland in Attendance as She Makes First Speech as Duchess of Sussex

Ragland and Prince Harry beamed with pride as she delivered remarks at Kensington Palace to promote her new cookbook.

Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland was by her daughter’s side at Kensington Palace Wednesday for the launch of the Duchess of Sussex's new cookbook.

The yoga instructor from California and Prince Harry looked on with pride as Markle hosted the luncheon.

The duchess wore a $1,200 coat by Smythe and a $250 black pleated skirt by her designer friend Misha Nonoo.

She oversaw every detail of the event, which took place in a tent outside the palace, and even jumped in to help prepare food from the cookbook.

All the recipes came from women left homeless by London’s Grenfell Tower fire last year.

"I'm so excited to see the projects you're going to continue to do in your own community, the community at large, and also how you're going to inspire people globally by sharing your stories and your recipes," she said at the event.

Proceeds from the book, "Together: Our Community Kitchen," will support the Hubb Community Kitchen, enabling it to stay open and to thrive.

Kensington Palace also posted images of the event on social media.
