'Bible' Sequel is Part 'House of Cards' Part 'Game of Thrones' and 'A Lot of Bible'

The producers explain their decisions.
Stars of NBC’s Biblical series AD: The Bible Continues stepped out for the show's premiere.
Roma Downey and husband Mark Burnett produced the series.
Burnett told INSIDE EDITION on the red carpet, "We did such enourmous numbers with The Bible, 100 million people watched it. We just didn't want it to end."
About the new series, he said, "This is like partly House of Cards, partly Game of Thrones and a lot of The Bible!"
Downey and Burnett casted Jaun Pablo Di Pace to play Jesus.
He told INSIDE EDITION, "It's a very 21st century way of telling a story that's so epic and so old. It's the greatest story ever told."
