Grandmother Breaks Speed Limit for Hair Appointment

Sandra Powell is the 72-year-old grandmother who was caught by police driving more than 100 miles per hour...but you'll never believe why! INSIDE EDITION has the story.
A 72-year-old grandmother was handcuffed after being pulled over for topping speeds of 100 miles per hour...and you won't believe why she was speeding.
Sandra Powell was going well over twice the speed limit in Union, South Carolina because cops say she was "upset because she was late for a hair appointment".
Police dashboard camera footage shows Powell, on a mission to make her hair appointment, flying past a cop car going in the opposite direction.
"I'm on my way to get my hair cut and I went the wrong direction and now I'm running late," she told the officer.
It was the first time Powell had ever been arrested. She spent 12 hours behind bars and was charged with reckless driving.
