Ed Sheeran Visits Fan For Hospital Birthday Party After She Missed Concert

He's the nicest guy in showbiz.
Singer Ed Sheeran took a break from his concert schedule to make one fan's day, and it happened to be her birthday.
Jess Knight bought tickets to Sheeran's concert in Auckland, New Zealand, but two weeks later was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She underwent chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, and had to give up her tickets to the concert.

A social media campaign was launched with the help of her friends, pleading with Sheeran to pay Knight a visit, and it worked!
New Zealand's One News was there when Sheeran showed up at Knight's birthday party in the hospital.
Knight said, "When I was told he was coming in, we all felt a bit shell-shocked. It was something we'd hoped would happen, but it was such a long shot."

She recalled having butterflies in her stomach and calls him "a genuinely nice guy and just real chill and down to Earth."
The British singer stayed for 30 minutes, chatted about food, his upcoming trip to South America and posed for selfies with Knight's friends and family.
