Who Would Be the Best First Lady / Husband?

Check out the top contenders.

They're the candidates' secret weapons. They are America’s First Ladies in Waiting and they're all quite accomplished in their own right

Marco Rubio’s wife, Jeanette, was once a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins.

The daughter of immigrants from Colombia, she met Marco at a party when they were teens.

She told Good Morning America, “He was funny. He definitely charmed me with his humor.”

Now 40, she and Marco have two sons and two daughters, all of whom were on stage when he announced his run for The White House on Monday.

Rand Paul’s wife, 51-year-old Kelley, is also a former cheerleader. She was on the varsity squad at her high school in Kentucky.

INSIDE EDITION's Megan Alexander asked, "Have you met some of the other candidate spouses?"

She replied, "I have, I have. I have met Heidi Cruz, Jeanette Rubio and they are great women."

She fell for Rand Paul when he was a young ophthalmologist.

Kelley, a writer, has just published a book about her college buddies called True and Constant Friends. She and her husband have three sons.

In a recent interview with Today show's Savannah Guthrie, Rand Paul cut her off in a sentence and said, "Why don't you let me explain instead of talking over me."

It prompted Alexander to ask, "Does your husband have the temperament to be president?"

She replied, "I think he does. I really do. I think that he is probably not as polished in front of the camera as some politicians. It is fairly new to him. He went from small town doctor straight to the U.S. Senate."

Heidi Nelson-Cruz is the wife of contender Ted Cruz, and earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

She met her husband when they were working for George W. Bush's presidential campaign in 2000. They married just five months later. They have two daughters.

And then there's that other potential first spouse, Hillary Clinton’s husband, Bill. Perhaps you've heard of him.
