Sarah Palin has confirmed the news that her daughter, Bristol, will not be getting married this weekend to war hero Sargent Dakota Meyer.
Bristol Palin has called off her wedding to Medal of Honor winner Dakota Meyer.
It was scheduled to take place this coming Memorial Day weekend.
Her mom, Sarah Palin, made the surprise announcement on her Facebook page: "They have informed loved ones that unfortunately the announced celebration planned for May 23 will not be held."
Bristol is a former contestant on Dancing with the Stars and Sargent Meyer was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Obama in 2011 for rescuing 36 soldiers during a deadly ambush in Afghanistan.
Just a few days ago, this marriage certificate surfaced showing he had a so-callled "secret wife" whom he married as a teenager and subsequently divorced.
Bristol is now taking to her mom's Facebook page to comment on the story: "Regarding salacious headlines in recent days about "secret wives", Dakota and I discussed our past relationships prior to our engagement. Dakota was legally divorced years ago ... and we have faith that our privacy will be respected at this time by those with decency. Thank you! – Bristol"
