Chris Christie Running For President: We Need to Have Authority in the Oval Office
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has become the 14th Republican to declare his candidacy for president.
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is throwing his hat into the presidential ring.
"I wake up every morning knowing that I have an opportunity to do something great. That’s why this job is a great job and president of the United States is a great job for an even greater number of people," Christie said.
He made the announcement this morning at Livingston High School in New Jersey where he was class president.

He also said, "We need to have strength and decision making and authority in the Oval Office and this is why I’m proud to announce my candidacy for the Republican nomination."

This makes Christie the 14th Republican to declare his candidacy.
