Donald Trump Brands Golf-Cheating Accusations False and 'A Terrible Thing to Say'
A former golf opponent of Donald Trump bad-mouthed the presidential candidate's game.
Donald Trump is fired up after being accused of cheating - at golf.
Reporter Ben Terris told INSIDE EDITION that one of Trump's former opponents said he was “a real hoot on the course - a lot of fun to play with, but he did not play exactly by the rules - played by his own rules.”
Trump, who owns some of the world's top golf courses, addressed the issue at a press conference, saying: “I win at golf. That I can tell you.”
He added to the Washington Post: "That's a terrible thing to say about people, especially me."
He also announced on Thursday that he will not seek a third-party bid if he doesn’t win the Republican nomination.
Trump is still leading the Republican race - a new national poll puts him at 30 percent, with Dr. Ben Carson at 18 percent, and Jeb Bush a distant third at eight percent.
Trump has a new nemesis - basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who just wrote a blistering Washington Post essay, accusing the billionaire of "bullying tactics" and calling him "an enemy of the constitution."
Trump hit back on his Facebook page with a handwritten note scrawled across the essay, saying:
Now I know why the press always treated you so badly - they couldn't stand you. The fact is that you don't have a clue about life and what has to be done to make America great again!
