When this student had her license suspended over a DWI, she came up with a creative alternative for getting around.

Monroe had her license suspended after she allegedly refused to take a Breathalyzer test during a traffic stop in March. Her father then took her car away from her.
So she turned to Craigslist, where she found the pink-and-purple Jeep for $60. She named it 'Charlene' after its previous owner.

She charges it up with a 12-volt battery and cruises around campus at 5mph.
Monroe said she is flattered by the attention.
She told the San Antonio Express-News: "This is the best way I could have gotten my 15 minutes of fame. Basically, it was the best decision I’ve made in college, yet."
