This 6-Year-Old With Leukemia Became 'Spider-Mable' to Battle Evil in Her City
Six-Year-Old Mable has been battling Leukemia for two years and got to live out her dream as a comic book character.
This six-year-old cancer sufferer, named Mable, became "Spider-Mable" so she could save her city from evil.
Fighting foe in Edmonton, Alberta in Canada was a dream for the youngster, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2013.
The little girl has been undergoing intense treatment for the disease. While in the hospital, she began to read and love the Spider-Man comics from the 1960s.
The Children’s Wish Foundation had the difficult task of making Mable’s dream to transform Spider-Mable and allow her to “fight crime” in Edmonton.
On Monday, Mable donned a Spider-Man-like costume and began her heroic day when a newscast informed her that Edmonton Oilers captain Andrew Ference was missing and needed help. The video was created by Leven Creative.
She went down to City Hall to meet with Mayor Don Iveson and was greeted by “Spider-Man” who said he came from New York City to help her out.
According to The Edmonton Journal, Mayor Iveson gave her orders to "Go save the city."
After that, she and Spider-Man went to the Edmonton Police Station to get a further briefing on the incident.
While on her mission, Mable had to save another character, Black Cat, by zip-lining across a water park.
After her successful attempt, Mable then found the culprit – Mysterio, who had kidnapped the hockey captain.
Mable went to the Edmonton Valley Zoo and unleashed silly string on the villain to save Ference.
She celebrated saving the hockey star at the zoo and on Tuesday night she dropped the puck at the Oilers game against the Arizona Coyotes.
