Prosecutors: Husband Pimped Out His Wife, Arranged For Her to Sleep With 2,700 Men
A French man is accused of pimping out his wife, forcing her to have sex with more than 2,700 men for money for four years.
A 54-year-old French man is accused of pimping out his wife, forcing her to have sex with thousands of men for money for four years, authorities said.
The husband allegedly listed his 46-year-old wife as a prostitute on four different websites and made more than $176,000 after arranging for his spouse to sleep with over 2,700 men since 2011, The Independent reported.
He reportedly ran his business out of his home in Meaux, a suburban town north of Paris, arranging through text and email meetings for his wife, a local court heard, The Independent wrote.
The wife met the “customers” at the family home up to three times a day, during which time the husband would wait with their five-year-old son in the car, the paper wrote.
“The husband exercised a psychological power over his wife, preventing her from stopping submitting herself to the sexual needs of customers who were sometimes very tough,” prosecutor Emmanuel Dupic said in a statement.
Though the couple was arrested, the woman was not charged, Metro reported.
The man, who was unnamed for legal reasons, faces up to 10 years in prison. He was remanded until his next hearing in December, The Independent wrote.
While prostitution is legal in France, solicitation is not.
The pair has been married for ten years, Metro wrote.
