Woman's Engagement Ring is Found in a Sewer After She Flushed it Down the Toilet

One woman thought she lost her engagement ring forever after it was flushed down the toilet.
A California woman thought her precious engagement ring was gone forever after she accidentally flushed it down the toilet.

Carissa Wolter said she left her diamond earrings and ring in a tissue while putting on makeup in the bathroom. After she was done, she discarded the tissues in the toilet and realized after the incident that her engagement ring was in there.
The bride-to-be told her fiancé, Kevin Winter, and they called the Jurupa Community Services District, which sent a team to her sewer to try and fish out the ring.
She told ABC News: "I started thinking right away that my jewelry was gone for good. My ring is everything to me, how could I even do that? I was so mad at myself and disappointed."
The team put in a trap and was able to find her ring which had travelled down the street from her home.

"I was super thankful that they knew what they were doing and ended up finding it. I wasn't expecting it at all. Without them, I wouldn't have my engagement ring. They changed my life,” she told ABC News.
It was a dirty job but somebody had to do it.
