Trump Says Cruz Will 'Fall Like All Others' After Audio Emerges of Him Criticizing Opponents
Audio of Ted Cruz revealing how he can win the GOP nomination and how he doesn't trust Trump and Carson has surfaced.
Donald Trump is firing back after Senator Ted Cruz was caught on audio tape questioning his judgment.
The recording of Cruz, obtained by the New York Times, reveals the Republican candidate talking about Trump and Ben Carson during a fundraiser.
"Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button?" he said. "Now that's a question of strength, but it's also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them."
Cruz also revealed his strategy to win the GOP nomination.
"My approach - much to the frustration of the media - has been to bear-hug both of them and smother them with love. Look, people run as who they are. I believe that gravity will bring both of those campaigns down. And I think the lion's share of their supporters come to us,” he said.
Trump wasted no time reacting. He tweeted:
Looks like @tedcruz is getting ready to attack. I am leading by so much he must. I hope so, he will fall like all others. Will be easy!December 11, 2015
.@tedcruz should not make statements behind closed doors to his bosses, he should bring them out into the open - more fun that way!December 11, 2015
