Falling Drone Narrowly Misses Champion Skier During Race
The drone missed Austrian skier Marcel Hirscher by mere inches as he took to the slopes in Italy.
World champion skier Marcel Hirscher was swooshing down the slopes in Italy when a drone fell from the sky. It missed him by mere inches.

The drone was being used to film the action but after the crash the International Skiing Federation immediately banned all drones from flying above the slopes.
Hirscher posted on Instagram:
INSIDE EDITION got reaction to the downhill crash from drone expert Joe Aletky.
"I reviewed the video and it was a very close call. By the vertical drop of the aircraft, it could have been A) there are no batteries -- which means it can't stabilize itself anymore. B) There is an error in the sensors -- which means it doesn't know which way is up or down."
This isn't the first drone to crash land at a sporting event.
Last summer this drone slammed into fans at the U.S. Open in New York.
Annoyed fans in Los Angeles actually knocked down a drone when it buzzed their heads outside The Staples Center when they were celebrating the L.A. Kings’ Stanley Cup win in 2014.
