New Photo Shows 'El Chapo' Shackled and Handcuffed in Prison
A newly released image shows Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman handcuffed and shackled at a Mexican prison.
A newly released photograph shows Mexican druglord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman handcuffed behind his back and shackled at the legs at his new prison in Mexico.
The world's biggest drug lord will have a tough time trying to escape Mexican authorities again as he's being shuttled between 30 cells at a high-security prison to prevent another escape.
Extreme measures are being taken to prevent Guzman from another escape. He's being moved every few minutes, or every few hours.
During his first five nights in the prison, he was transferred seven times, according to CNN.
More than 400 new cameras have been installed at the prison, and guards record Guzman with helmet-mounted cameras.
Prison floors have also been reinforced after his infamous tunnel escape last year. Guzman also has restricted visitor access.
Meanwhile, Mexican officials want to question actress Kate del Castillo, the soap opera actress who set up the now-infamous meeting between actor Sean Penn and the world's biggest drug lord, Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.
An official who spoke to the Associated Press on the condition of anonymity said investigators asked the star to meet with them about her ties to Guzman and the get-together she arranged this year with him.
