Randy Quaid's List of Bizarre Claims Grows Longer
Randy Quaid and his wife have become fodder for the late night comics as their list of bizarre claims gets longer. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.
We're learning more about the bizarre rantings of actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi.
They've requested asylum in Canada, claiming they're targeted for murder by a shadowy group they call "Hollywood Star Whackers."
Evi Quaid said to reporters, "Hollywood is murdering it's movie stars."
Evi Quaid told the Globe and Mail newspaper that she and her husband wanted to, "Find asylum from murderous rings in Hollywood."
Two of the stars the Quaids claim were murderd co-starred with Randy in the movies.
David Carradine, whose death was ruled accidental in Thailand last year, appeared with Quaid and his younger brother Dennis in the 1980 western The Long Riders.
And Heath Ledger, who died of an accidental drug overdose in 2008, starred with Quaid in Brokeback Mountain.
The Quaids are now adding another actor to their strange list of so-called murdered actors. They say actor Sean Penn's brother Chris, who appeared in Footloose was murdered by the Star Whackers, even though his death in 2006 was ruled an accidental drug overdose.
And the Quaids's story gets even stranger. Take a look at the photo of Evi Quaid holding a laundry basket in high heels and black lingerie that she sent to a Seattle theater critic along with this note:
"What about these pictures? Will your editor guarantee there is a good story?"
The D.A. in Santa Barbara, California, says the Quaids must still face the music over allegations they trashed a house there they once owned.
"Right now there are warrants for their arrests in the amount of $500,000 each. If they don't show up those warrants will remain out."
And of course, the whacky behavior of Randy and Evi Quaid has now become fodder for the late night comedians.
Jimmy Kimmel said, "I think the Quaids might be a little quazy."
David Letterman said on The Late Show, "The mounties arrested Mr. and Mrs. Randy Quaid. Still no word yet on Osama Bin Laden, but by god, we got the Quaids."
