Salma Hayek's Dog Found Shot Dead on Her Washington Ranch

Actress Salma Hayek says her beloved dog Mozart was shot dead on her Washington State ranch and she intends to find his killer.

Actress Salma Hayek is in mourning for her beloved dog after he was found shot dead on her Washington ranch.

The self-professed animal lover took to Instagram on Friday to tell the world about 9-year-old Mozart, who she "personally delivered out of his mother's womb."

"I haven't posted for a week as I been mourning the death of my dog," the social media savvy actress wrote. "He was found dead in my ranch last Friday with a shot close to his heart."

Hayek said Mozart never once strayed away from his territory on the ranch and never attacked or bit anyone.

"He was the most loving and loyal companion. He didn't deserve a slow and painful death," Hayek wrote. "I am hoping that the Washington State authorities do justice to this wonderful dog."

Just a handful of days earlier, Hayek posted a shot of herself on a movie set as she cuddled another dog that looked a lot like her beloved Mozart.

"I love dogs so much that I can't resist cuddling with them - even when they've helped arrest me in the movie we're shooting!" she joked.

In 2013, Hayek told Ellen DeGeneres that she has five horses, four alpacas, a cat, eight dogs, five parrots and two fish.
