Marie Osmond Reveals Some of Her Son's Suicide Note

Marie Osmond appeared on Oprah, speaking about her son's suicide for the first time since he took his life, and shares parts of his suicide note. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
A heartbroken Marie Osmond opens up for the first time about the final words written by her son in his suicide note.
Oprah asked, "Can you share what that note said?"
"He knew that morning was the last time he would get up and brush his teeth, eat breakfast, get dressed, make his bed. Those kinds of things. He had made the decision, and that he loved his family, but the pain was so intense," said Osmond.
Osmond sobbed as she spoke to Oprah in her first interview since 18-year-old Michael jumped to his death last February.
Osmond continues, "I have been through some tough things in my life, this is the hardest thing ever been through."
She also reveals for the first time that Michael, who had battled drug addiction and depression, tried to take his life before. Believe it or not, it was while she was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars, where she famously fainted.
"During that time, I was going through a very public divorce, a custody battle, my dad died and my son went into rehab, and he couldn't deal with it. He loved his family," said Osmond.
"Didn't he promise he would never do it again?" asked Oprah.
"He did. He promised that he would never do anything like that again, and I believed him," said Osmond.
A clearly devastated Osmond performed a song dedicated to Michael, but she became so overcome with emotion she had to stop midway.
With the warm applause from Oprah and the audience, the grieving mom found the strength to finish her tear filled musical tribute.
