Oksana Grigorieva is speaking on Larry King Live in her first official TV interview, and reveals why she taped those now infamous rants from Mel Gibson.
Mel Gibson's ex-girflriend says she had no choice when she secretly tape-recorded the actor in those now-infamous ranting phone calls.
"I wanted my mother to be able to prove that if I'm dead, that this is who did it," said Oksana Grigorieva.
On the tapes, Gibson is heard at one point saying, "I'm threatening - I'll put you in a ____ rose garden, you ___! You understand that? 'Cause I'm capable of it."
Grigorieva sits down with Larry King for her first formal TV interview.
Grigorieva told King, "I thought, I'm actually not going to live through the night."
"He's going to come over and kill you," said King.
"Yes, that's what he said in those tapes," replied Grigorieva.
Larry King asked, "Why did you stay with him?"
Grigorieva responded with, "That was a mistake. I stayed a little bit too long. I gave him a last chance. He asked for a last chance. He begged, he cried. He cried on his knees. What am I supposed to do?"
When King asked about whether booze fueled Gibson's rage, Grigorieva's answer may surprise you.
King asked, "Did liquor usually set it off?"
"There was no liquor. Not once. He never drunk," said Grigorieva.
