Honest Waitress Returns $1,700 That Was Accidentally Left on Her Table

A Buffalo Wild Wings waitress in Maine found a fat wad of $100 bills on her customers' table, she immediately handed it over to her manager.

An honest waitress in Maine is winning praise after she turned in $1,700 that a customer accidentally left on her table.

Kaylie Cyr of Auburn was working a dinner shift at Buffalo Wild Wings earlier this month when she found an envelope stuffed with $100 bills.

"I was shocked," the 24-year-old waitress told InsideEdition.com. "I turned it right into my manager."

Cyr said the two male patrons had already given her a generous tip, so she knew the money wasn't meant for her.

Unbeknownst to Cyr, the man to whom the money belonged soon called the restaurant and later retrieved the envelope.

And for a while, the incident was forgotten.

"A week or so later, it was St. Paddy's Day," Cyr recalled. "These same guys came in and my manager came up to me and said they'd like to see me."

Cyr greeted the men and was in turn treated to a serious surprise.

"They were so impressed that they gave me $100," she said. "I wasn't expecting them to give me anything."

Cyr's manager, Louie Golden, doesn't seem at all surprised about his employee's good deed.

"She did the right thing. She exemplifies the attributes any employee should have,"  Golden told InsideEdition.com. "I assume any of my employees would have done the right thing."
