Do Certain Shows Attract Different Political Parties?

A new poll shows what Democrats and Republicans are watching on TV and the results may surprise you. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
What does ABC's Desperate Housewives have in common with FOX's Glee? Believe it or not, both shows are big hits with Republicans.
The Hollywood Reporter calls it "the reign of right-wing primetime."
A new poll taken by the magazine says The Glenn Beck Program is the number one show with Republicans, CBS' Amazing Race is second, a ABC's Modern Family is third.
"Its hard to understand why a show like Modern Family would appeal to Republicans because it has an openly gay couple, but it does,"said Hollywood Reporter News Editor Matthew Belloni.
Democrats, meanwhile, say MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann is their number one show, with AMC's Mad Men coming in at number two.
"The reality shows that follow people around like Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Jersey Shore tend to be favored by Democrats. Republicans tend to favor more traditional competition-type shows like American Idol and Dancing with the Stars," Belloni said.
And you might expect that TLC's Sarah Palin's Alaska is a big hit with Republicans. But get this; plenty of Democrats watch it too.
"Republicans want to see her because they like her. Democrats, because they hate her," Belloni said.
