Man Escapes Car Teetering Over a Cliff Only to be Hit By a Bus
A driver in Malibu, California was rushed to a hospital while his SUV still dangled off a cliff.
A California man recently managed to escape his vehicle as it teetered over a Malibu cliff before his great luck took a turn for the worse.
It was Saturday around 4:30 pm when the driver lost control of his vehicle and nearly went over the steep side of Malibu Canyon Road, the LA County Sheriff's Dept. said in a statement.
The driver became disoriented and exited the vehicle and was accidentally hit by a passing tour bus, police said.
At that point, the man's luck might just have returned. He was conscious and breathing when first responders arrived.
He was first treated at the scene by the Los Angeles County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol before being transported to a local hospital.
In their statement, the Lost Hills Sheriff's Station wrote:
"This is another reminder of the need to drive safely through the canyons of our beautiful area and to use extreme caution at the scene of a traffic collision."
The accident is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
