Family Celebrates 20th Birthday of Daughter Born Without a Brain

Nebraska family Shawn and Lorena Simpson spoke to Inside Edition Digital about their child, Alex, who was born with a rare condition where she doesn’t have a brain. Their child wasn’t supposed to live past four years old but has defied science and recently turned 20. They say that despite all odds, Alex has shown them the true meaning of love and how to live each day to the fullest.
