Bride-to-Be Paralyzed One Month Before Wedding

This bride-to be still cannot believe what happened at her bachelorette party.

Rachelle Friedman and her friends were goofing around by the pool when her best friend playfully pushed her in. Friedman landed on her head in the shallow end of the pool.

"It was about three and a half feet of water. I couldn't feel the water, I couldn't feel my body, I couldn't move my body," she tells INSIDE EDITION.

One of the partygoers called 911.

911 Operator: "911, what is the emergency?"

Caller: "One of our friends pushed one of our other friends into the pool like as a joke and she like hit her head on the bottom of the pool."

911 Operator: "And she is breathing ma'am?"

Caller: "Yeah, she is breathing and speaking but she is very, very upset and she says she can't stand up to get out of the pool."

Friedman was rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed what she instinctively already knew; the 24-year-old would never walk again.

"When I got that phone call, I simply didn't know how to react," says Chris Chapman, Friedman's fiancé. 'It was the most shocking thing I've ever experienced."

Now Friedman is dependent on Chapman for everything. Even just getting into a car is a challenge. Sometimes he even carries her on his back.

"It never crossed my mind that he would be the kind of guy to walk away. He's passionate, he's strong, he's loving," Friedman tells INSIDE EDITION.

In the morning, Chapman gets her out of bed. It's not the life they ever expected, but Friedman says, "I still want to be the perfect wife and I still have the perfect fiancé and i plan on continuing with my dreams of that."

She may never walk down the aisle, but she is determined to carry on with her wedding day.
 
"I will roll down the aisle I will crawl down the aisle, whatever I have to do to get to him, I will marry him," Friedman tells INSIDE EDITION..

She says she has no animosity towards the girl who pushed her. In fact, they are still best friends and she will still be a guest at the wedding.
