Power Brokers Ignore Ted Cruz As He Speaks at New York Republican Fundraiser
People got up and left while he spoke during the $1,000-a-plate gala.
Ted Cruz doesn't appear to have many New York fans.
During his speech at a Manhattan Republican fundraiser on Thursday night, some spectators left as he spoke, while others continued talking.
And only one person clapped for him during the appearance at the $1,000-a-plate fundraiser at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
The response came months after Cruz got a bite of a sour Big Apple when he referred scornfully to
"New York Values" during one debate. He's now trying to win support ahead of Tuesday's New York State primary.
During the GOP event on Thursday night, Trump protesters gathered outside the Hyatt.
Inside, it emerged that Ohio Governor John Kasich didn't get the tuxedo memo. He wore a suit instead of tux like the other candidates.
