Say What?! Donald Trump Mixes Up 9/11 With 7-Eleven
Donald Trump confused 9/11 with 7-Eleven at a rally.
Donald Trump is being slammed after he made a serious slip of the tongue at Monday night's campaign rally in Buffalo, New York.
The Republican frontrunner was introduced by Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan at a rally, where he called Ryan a great coach “who won championships” in New York, which is untrue.
Trump then talked about New York values after 9/11, saying “7-Eleven" while talking about cops and firefighters who died in the World Trade Center attacks.
"I wrote this out, and it's very close to my heart," he said. "Because I was down there and I watched our police and our firemen down on 7-Eleven, down at the World Trade Center right after it came down. And I saw the greatest people I've ever seen in action."
He failed to correct himself, and the audience seemed to let him slide.
Trump also shamelessly plugged himself while talking about the cleanup efforts at Ground Zero: “I helped a little bit.”
